All of the laptops that are recycled at Seattle Electronics Recycling are tested, their data wiped, repaired, and refurbished so they can be re-used. Every recycled laptop that we can repurpose is one more that does not need to be manufactured. Recycling for re-use is the best case scenario for recycled laptops, computers, and Macbooks. All recycled hard drives are wiped with DBAN or crushed. Most laptops we refurbish get new SSD’s installed.
